The present New York State government is proposing the NYS Constitutional Convention scheduled for 2018. Our sources indicate that during this event, NYS government officials may/will attempt to change retirement programs now the law of the state.
S.O.A.R. has scheduled it next business meeting for June 20, 2017, 6PM to be held at the Gates Fire House #1, 2355 Chili Ave. If you wish to learn more about this event that may very well alter or take away your retirement benefits, we urge you to attend. Bring your spouse. Speakers and a presentation is planned about this issue and how it could severely alter your retirement benefits, both financial and medical.

Retired MCSO Deputy Fred Lennon, a member of both S.O.A.R. and ARPALER, was recently honored by the Churchville Fire Department with an award for his length of service to his community. Deputy Lennon has been a member of the Churchville Fire Dept for 51 years! He has held every position from firefighter to chief.
Our congratulations to Fred on this award, and a thank you for his service to our community not only as a Sheriff’s Deputy but as a Firefighter, too.
S.O.A.R. has scheduled its next business/Board meeting for Tuesday, April 18, 2017 starting at 6PM. ALL ARE WELCOME, MEMBER AND NON MEMBERS!
It will be held at the Pittsford Recreation & Community Center, 35 Lincoln Ave., Room 102 in the Village of Pittsford.
I am looking for photographs of members/employees and or events pertaining to the Sheriff’s Office which have a general interest for inclusion in the next edition of the History of the MCSO (1821-2021).
Please include a brief description to include dates. ALL will be returned after being scanned and extreme care will be taken.
