Wreath Laying Ceremony

This September 17 through September 23, Sheriffs’ Offices across New York State will be celebrating Sheriff’s Week. The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office will be participating in the celebration to show that our Office also plays a unique role in the criminal justice system having not only made significant contributions to the protection of life and property in Monroe County but also to our state’s history.

On September 18, 2017, 10:30am at the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office Fallen Deputy Monument, located on the Civic Center Plaza, we will pause and take time to honor those deputies who gave their lives in the honorable service to the citizens of the County of Monroe. Their service will never be forgotten.

Please join us for a brief wreath laying ceremony as we honor those members of the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office who have made the ultimate sacrifice.

Please R.S.V.P. as soon as possible to Brendan O’Riordan, MCSO Office of Communications, at 585-753-4840, or by e-mail at BrendanO’Riordan@monroecounty.gov.
